American Thinker: Cloward and Piven

The stimulus bill, the omnibus bill, mortgage company takeover, the auto industry takeover, the banking industry takeover, government health care, and cap and trade–all are cogs in the strategy of the left called Cloward and Piven.  There is a reason President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid press on with their health care plan even though over half of the country is against it.  I have been skeptical in the past when someone says they are ruining the economy on purpose.   Surely not.  Do I really want to fall into that conspiracy theory?

This most recent senate push has convinced me, however, that they are desperate to get this through before the 2010 elections, not matter what the will of the people is.  They have to know at this point that they are going to lose control of the legislative branch next year.  Why are they so willing to do so?  Why do they drive on with programs that will burgeon the deficit?  Cloward and Piven.

American Thinker: Cloward and Piven

As I stood at the memorial and rally for the attacked Little Rock soldiers, I could not help but wonder why the President is overseas trying to downplay the ruthlessness of terrorism. Pvt. William Long lost his life and Pvt. Quenton Ezeagwula was severely injured after being gunned down by a trained terrorist. Abdulhakim Margahid Muhammad, also known as Carlos Bledsoe, spent time recently in Yemen to train for such action. He is now being charged with one count of capital murder and 15 counts of terroristic threatening. His apartment and vehicle were loaded with weapons to kill many more. As we briefly honored these two men who were shot while innocently taking a break outside a strip mall recruiting station in their home state of Arkansas, we were disturbed by an angry Muslim woman. Irritated by the flag waving along Rodney Parham Drive in front of the ceremony, this woman began to yell through her car window at the flag attendees during the ceremony. As other passers-by honked their support for the homestate heroes, this woman attempted to interrupt a memorial service. She drove on, only to park her car and return on foot as the ceremony concluded. She began to yell such things as, “Jesus was just a prophet”, “Bush was a terrorist”, and “God will come back and judge you all”.

Presumably this woman was aware that two soldiers were killed at this spot and that her rantings seemed to be condoning terrorist attacks and the action that Muhammad had taken on this spot just 4 days earlier. I began to wonder again what president Obama thought he was accomplishing oversees trying to make overtures to those who want to destroy us. Apparently this woman is a part of our society, claiming to work for law enforcement. You might pass her in her burkha in the mall or grocery store and assume that she was not an enemy of our country. Yet she decided it was acceptable to attempt to interrupt a memorial service. If this angry Muslim feels that is okay, why would a few platitudes by the president make any difference to cold hard killers whose sole purpose is to destroy our nation? Whether it is arrogance or ignorance on his part matters not, it will have no positive effect for our nation. This is just another of many reasons why we must take away his congressional support in 2010 and then take him out of office in 2012.
